No Swimming?

Last week when i was shooting outdoor wedding pictures. Look what i saw. A couple were swimming in a no swimming area. And it was pretty cold that day too. i don't know why they did it. but they were risking their life. They got out of water after a few minutes. They told us this is what 30 years of marriage can do to you.

Good balance in life

It’s always hard to keep good balance between life in photography and family. As I get more jobs shooting weddings, I have to sacrifices family time. It gets harder and harder saying good bye to my daughter Elyse before wedding job. This is a life being a wedding photographer. Elyse grows so fast, I want to be with her as much as I could. I don’t want to miss her first laughter, her first word, her first time calls me daddy...but when I go out shoot a wedding. I am 100% concentrate on my job. The wedding day goes by so quick. At the end of the day, I am exhausted but I felt rewarding that I’ve done my best to shoot the couple’s biggest day of their life.

relaxing weekend

I really should update more often because there are so many exciting things happening to my life, my family and my photography journey….

This is post I wrote early the week but didn’t get a chance to posted on my blog until now.

Last Saturday was very relaxing. I was supposed to shoot a wedding on that day but schedule was changed last minute. So we went to have dim sum with couple of friends. The weather was perfect, not too cold. Elyse seems enjoyed the short trip. She was looking around like everything is new to her. She kept on turning her head around, left, right, left, right. I wonder what she was thinking. Was she thinking at all? I certainly don’t remember the things I saw when I was 5 months old. We bumped into our uncle’s family in the restaurant. Elyse saw another of her cousin the first time. He is around 2 years old. He is shyer than my little elyse. Hahaha. My little elyse was smiling and everyone love her big smile.

Hi from eylse - 5 months old

Elyse just turned 5 months old over the weekend. everything happening so fast. everyweek, she came up with some kind of new tricks. this time she salutes to us. we didn't see it until we saw the picture on big screen. so cute...my wife was right, Elyse grows so fast that we don't want to miss out any part of it. our life has totally changed after she joined the family, in a good way. God has been blessed me with the photo talent that i've been so busy on weekends shooting weddings. I feel bad that i can't spend more time with my wife and elyse on weekends. Although i love shooting weddings, i am missing out precious time with my family. elyse said her first word two weeks ago. guess what she said. "Maaaaaaami" i was not there to see it but my wife recorded it on camera and she replaied for me many many times. then, i started to teach her how to say daddy. no luck yet. i am still trying.

I made a cool slide show of my daughter. Carina look through Elyse pictures almost everyday. Sometimes few times a day. so i figure Carina would love to have this slide show.

Happy Birthday Min!

Meet occasionally and spend quality time with best friends is such a great thing to do. The restaurant located in Forest Hills, Queens. I love the decoration of the place. very cozy with lots of candles lights.

I never saw a bronze menu before. wow...do you know how heavy it was?

do any of your birthday wishes come true? i think we never thought about what wishes we had in the previous birthdays and if they came true or not. i don't remember my last birthday wish.

i can't really remember when was my first time having fried ice cream desert. but it won't be last.

forest hills is such a nice place to hangout. it has been filled with newly opened restaurants. There are many stores for shopping too.
